Maidstone divers Sam Harvey and Maya Philpot were selected to compete at the English Schools Diving Competition on 8th December. The competition was held in Sandwell, the pool used for the last Commonwealth Games.
Both dived really well against tough competitors, some who train and compete in Junior Elite.
Sam Harvey overcame an injury prior to the competition and came 11th with a score of 197.90 from the 3m board. Maya Philpot achieved 14th place with a score of 124.55.
Coach Ken Surry, who was a team coach for the South East Region, was extremely proud of both divers who have worked very hard in training in the lead up to the competition.
